These are a sure sign that the days are rapidly getting shorter. For those who think that the south of Germany corresponds to around Philadelphia area or even furthe south: I live 900 miles north of Toronto, latitudewise. And the days are getting shorter here, you bet.

Yesterday Wolfgang Putz had his Open Garden. Besides the world famous bonsai collection the family Putz has 600 different fuchsias.

There are several rose gardens in Seattle, Washington. I am not so sure which one this was, whether Northgate of Woodlands. Anyway, It was one of the most impressive rose collections that I have ever seen.
